Celebrity Traitors 2026 Week 1 gave us three Traitors, one murder, a spectacular Richard E. Grant blunder and Ross Kemp becoming suspicious of virtually anyone who went near him.

The Celebrity Traitors returns tonight, Thursday 8th October at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, so if you need a quick reminder of what happened in Episodes 1 and 2, here’s where things stand.

Warning: Celebrity Traitors 2026 spoilers below.

If you need a reminder of who entered the castle this year, take a look at our Celebrity Traitors 2026 full cast and start-date guide, which has the complete list of contestants taking part.

Who are the Celebrity Traitors after Week 1?

Claudia Winkleman initially chose Maya Jama and Richard E. Grant to become the first two Traitors.

But there was an immediate twist.

Instead of Claudia simply choosing a third Traitor, Maya and Richard had to select two Faithfuls to meet them face-to-face and argue why they deserved to join the Traitors.

They chose James Acaster and Amol Rajan.

Only one could be recruited. The other would be murdered because they now knew far too much.

Episode 2 finally revealed the decision.

James Acaster became the third Traitor, while Amol Rajan was murdered and became the first celebrity to leave the series.

So, heading into Week 2, the Celebrity Traitors are:

  • Maya Jama
  • Richard E. Grant
  • James Acaster

Has Richard E. Grant already blown it?

Quite possibly. Though I really hope not as he is such a lovely gentleman and I would love him to stay to the end!

In one of the most extraordinary starts to a Traitors game, Richard was asked by Joe Lycett whether he was a Traitor shortly after Claudia had selected him.

And Richard effectively said yes. LOL!!!!!!!!!

Rather than delivering the smoothest bluff of his acting career, he immediately managed to put himself firmly on the Faithfuls’ radar.

He tried to laugh the whole thing off, but by Episode 2 the suspicion hadn’t disappeared.

At the first Round Table, Joe Lycett led the questioning of Richard, with Julie Hesmondhalgh also making a strong case against him. Friday’s episode then ended just as the group were preparing to vote. Such a ridiculous cliffhanger to be honest, we need to know!

But the heat is definitely on Richard.

Ross Kemp is suspicious of absolutely everyone

If Richard provided the chaos of Week 1, Ross Kemp provided the paranoia by the bucket load!

Ross became convinced he might have been murdered in plain sight after Bella Ramsey placed a captain’s hat on his head during the first mission.

Then Leigh-Anne Pinnock touched his arm.

More suspicion.

At this point, if someone offers Ross a biscuit, he may need an immediate emergency meeting with Claudia.

His fears aren’t completely ridiculous though as previous series have featured murders triggered through seemingly innocent interactions. But no such murder had actually taken place when Ross began suspecting everyone around him. Tollbit

It’s already become one of the funniest running themes of this Celebrity Traitors series.

Who left Celebrity Traitors in Week 1?

There has only been one confirmed elimination so far.

Amol Rajan – Murdered

Amol was killed after Maya Jama and Richard E. Grant chose James Acaster to become their third Traitor instead.

Nobody has yet been banished because Episode 2 ended during the first Round Table before the vote was revealed. Tollbit

So Episode 3 should begin with our first banishment of Celebrity Traitors 2026.

And unless Richard can somehow talk his way out of this, things aren’t looking particularly comfortable for him.

When is Celebrity Traitors Episode 3?

Celebrity Traitors Episode 3 airs tonight, Thursday 8th October 2026 at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Episode 4 follows on Friday 9th October at 8pm.

The series continues with two episodes each week on Thursdays and Fridays throughout October, with the finale scheduled for Friday 30th October.

Week 1 certainly didn’t waste any time, though left us on a cliffhanger.

Three Traitors, one murder, one spectacular accidental confession and Ross Kemp treating every friendly gesture as a potential assassination attempt.

Roll on Week 2!
