Here’s this week’s ITV soaps schedule from Monday 12th to Friday 16th January 2026.
You’ll notice there’s nothing on Tuesday 13th January – that’s because Newcastle United vs Manchester City (EFL Cup) is live on ITV, so soaps take a back seat for the night (football always wins the TV battle, doesn’t it?).
What’s different this week?
Tuesday is the only disruption. Everything else runs as scheduled, but keep in mind TV listings can change last minute if sport runs long or ITV shuffles the evening lineup.
New time alert (January 2026)
If your body clock is still on the old schedule, you’re not imagining it. ITV has introduced slightly later slots this month, with Emmerdale now airing at 8pm and Coronation Street at 8:30pm on scheduled nights.
So if you’ve been sat there at the old time wondering why your soap hasn’t started yet… yep. That’ll be why.
Quick tip: don’t miss your usual slot
If you’re forever thinking “Wait… was that on at 7 or 7:30?”, set a repeating reminder on your phone for your usual nights. It saves the “I’ve missed it, haven’t I?” stress. And if you’re more of a catch-up watcher (same), ITVX is usually the easiest way to get back on track when life gets in the way.
Tonight’s watching plan (aka: real life)
If you’ve got kids, homework, work or life generally doing the most, the easiest plan is: check the schedule image, pick your must-watch nights, and treat the rest as a bonus. Soaps are meant to be a comfort watch… not another thing to keep up with.
Over to you…
Are you an Emmerdale person, a Corrie person, or a “both or nothing” watcher? And what storyline has you properly invested right now?
