Rob Beckett was murdered face-to-face

Week 3 began by resolving the crypt cliffhanger from the previous Friday.

Ross Kemp, Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett had been left vulnerable after Leigh-Anne Pinnock received the key that made her safe.

And it was Rob Beckett who was murdered.

Rather than simply receiving the usual letter at breakfast, Rob was confronted face-to-face by the Traitors in the crypt and discovered exactly who had brought his game to an end.

It also meant Romesh had lost his comedy partner in the castle.

Hannah Fry was finally caught

Professor Hannah Fry had been skating on increasingly thin ice since becoming a Traitor, and in Episode 5 the Faithfuls finally finished the job.

Suspicion had been building around Hannah for some time and, despite attempts to push attention elsewhere, the Round Table overwhelmingly turned against her.

Even fellow Traitors Maya Jama and James Acaster voted for Hannah, helping seal her fate.

Hannah was banished and revealed that the Faithfuls had successfully caught another Traitor.

That meant the Faithfuls had now managed to identify two Traitors – Richard E. Grant and Hannah Fry.

Pretty impressive.

Unfortunately, things were about to get considerably messier again.

King Kenny became the new Traitor

With Hannah gone, Maya and James were given another decision:

Murder or recruit?

They chose recruitment.

Joanne McNally, Joe Lycett and King Kenny were among the names considered, but ultimately King Kenny was offered the chance to become a Traitor.

He accepted.

And judging by his reaction, he appeared absolutely delighted with his new job.

King Kenny joined Maya Jama and James Acaster in the turret, bringing the number of Traitors back up to three.

Joe Lycett basically banished himself

Poor Joe.

At the end of Episode 5, Joe had been very vocal about wanting the Traitors to recruit him.

The following morning, everyone arrived at breakfast alive.

Which could only mean one thing:

Someone had been recruited.

Naturally, suspicion immediately landed on the man who had spent the previous evening practically advertising his availability for the position.

Joe.

Of course, the actual recruit was King Kenny.

But Joe’s enthusiastic campaigning had done the damage, and the Faithfuls became convinced he had got exactly what he wanted.

At the Round Table, Joe Lycett was banished.

He then revealed that he was still a Faithful after all.

In fairness, even Joe later admitted that begging to be recruited probably hadn’t been his finest tactical move.

Who left Celebrity Traitors in Week 3?

Three celebrities left the game during Episodes 5 and 6:

  • Rob Beckett – Murdered, Faithful
  • Professor Hannah Fry – Banished, Traitor
  • Joe Lycett – Banished, Faithful

That left Maya Jama, James Acaster and newly recruited King Kenny as the three Traitors going into Week 4.

And then came murder by… boredom?

Celebrity Traitors rarely settles for a straightforward murder.

Friday’s episode ended with another murder-in-plain-sight twist.

The Traitors were instructed to “bore” a Faithful to death.

Their task involved spraying a room with a mysterious scent before getting one of the Faithfuls to yawn.

What followed was possibly one of the strangest cliffhangers we’ve had so far.

Maya, James and Kenny began yawning rather conspicuously as celebrities wandered into the room, eventually leaving Jerry Hall and Ross Kemp looking particularly vulnerable.

And yes, after several weeks of Ross assuming practically every innocent interaction might kill him, there was finally a situation where his paranoia may actually have been justified.

The episode ended before we discovered whether Jerry or Ross had fallen victim to the murder.

Where did Celebrity Traitors stand after Week 3?

Heading into Week 4, the Traitors were:

Maya Jama
James Acaster
King Kenny

The Faithfuls had successfully uncovered two Traitors so far, but had also lost several of their own through murders and incorrect banishments.

And somewhere in the castle, either Jerry Hall or Ross Kemp could be about to discover that somebody yawning near you really can be dangerous after all.

When is Celebrity Traitors back?

Celebrity Traitors Episode 7 airs tonight, Thursday 22nd October 2026 at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Episode 8 follows on Friday 23rd October at 8pm.

After that, there are just two episodes remaining, with the Celebrity Traitors 2026 finale airing on Friday 30th October.

So we’re officially heading towards the business end of the game.

And somehow Maya Jama is still sitting there while everybody argues about everyone else.
