Emmerdale spoilers for 3rd–6th August 2026
It looks like an emotional week in the village, with Cain, Kyle, Charity, Noah, Nicola, Jimmy, Claudette, Kev, Gabby and Billy all part of the drama.
The biggest storylines this week include:
- Cain decides he wants Moira to adopt Kyle, hoping it will give Kyle more security if anything happens to him.
- Cain tries to speak to Kyle about the idea, but Kyle is stunned and turns to Kerry for advice.
- Just as Kyle prepares to give Cain an answer, Sam interrupts with worrying news about Monty.
- Rhona checks Monty over and confirms that his tumour has spread, leaving the Dingles facing a heartbreaking decision.
- Cain struggles badly with Monty’s diagnosis, especially as it reflects his own fears about illness and treatment.
- After finding Monty resting on Zak’s grave, Cain finally accepts that it is time to say goodbye.
- Cain breaks the news to the boys and takes Monty to the vets for one final farewell.
- The Dingles come together to give Monty a proper family send-off, with Cain delivering an emotional eulogy.
- Noah tells Charity he is planning to move to Düsseldorf for a new job opportunity.
- Charity is devastated by Noah’s news, and he decides to put his plans on hold when he sees how much it hurts her.
- Charity returns to the support group and finally opens up about her trauma.
- The support group facilitator helps Charity see that the guilt and shame she has been carrying belong to Dr Todd, not to her.
- Jimmy tries to bring some romance back into his marriage to Nicola, but his date idea does not go down quite as planned.
- Nicola later finds a jewellery box in Jimmy’s golf clubs and jumps to the conclusion that he may have bought it for another woman.
- Kev is left searching for answers after Steve’s disappearance.
- Claudette makes a shocking admission to Charles, raising more questions about what has really happened.
- Gabby is left devastated when she finds out Billy kissed Dawn.
So this week’s Emmerdale brings a heartbreaking goodbye for the Dingles, a brave step forward for Charity, worry for Nicola and more fallout around Kev, Claudette and Steve.
