There’s a slight schedule change for ITV soaps this week, so this is worth knowing before Friday rolls around.
Emmerdale and Coronation Street are on at their normal times from Monday 20th April to Thursday 23rd April 2026.
ITV’s 2026 soap pattern remains Emmerdale at 8pm and Coronation Street at 8:30pm on weekdays when the normal schedule is in place, with episodes dropping on ITVX from 7am on transmission day.
However, there are no soaps on Friday 24th April because I’m A Celebrity… South Africa has its live final that evening. The first part of the final airs from 7:30pm to 9pm, before returning at 10pm for the winner announcement.

Emmerdale spoilers for 20th–24th April 2026
It looks like another dramatic week ahead in the village, with Jacob, Charity and Mack all heavily caught up in the fallout.
The biggest storylines this week include:
- Jacob confronts Dr Todd and raises a complaint, as the pressure on him keeps building.
- Charity goes into labour, but ends up stuck in a lift, with Ross stepping in to help.
- Mack is pulled into the baby drama, with the week putting more strain on that whole situation.
- Moira struggles to cope with life on the outside after her release, adding more emotional fallout elsewhere in the village.
- Paddy worries about Bear, as more concern builds around that storyline too.
So next week’s Emmerdale looks set to bring more pressure, more family fallout and a very dramatic childbirth in true soap style.
Coronation Street spoilers for 20th–24th April 2026
Over in Weatherfield, Carla, Theo and Lisa are all part of this week’s biggest talking points, and it sounds like another stressful one on the cobbles.
The biggest storylines this week include:
- Carla and Lisa finally tie the knot, although the day does not go entirely to plan.
- Carl plots against Theo, bringing even more tension to an already messy storyline.
- Will’s mum arrives on the cobbles, adding more complications.
- Jodie’s past closes in, which brings fresh pressure and fallout.
- A murder shocks Weatherfield, casting a huge shadow over the week.
Altogether, it looks like Coronation Street is serving up wedding drama, more Theo chaos and yet another week where nobody gets a peaceful brew.
